I
find my refrigerator is running without any interval -what causes that? |
|
There are following possible reasons for a refrigerator to run
continuously w/o any interval.
(1) The modern refrigerators are normally larger and run colder than
models of past. This helps keep the temperature more stable, and keeps
food fresher longer.
(2) If you (or the children) open the door frequently or keep it open for
a long time, the refrigerator will run longer to make up for the loss of
cold air.
(3) You may check the condenser (at the rear on embedded into the sides of
the refrigerator cabinet to make sure it is not blocked. If it is, clean
it, following the instructions in your user manual.
(4) Also, check the door to make sure it is sealing/closing
properly/completely and that nothing is preventing it from closing.
(5) Finally, check your room temperature. If it is very warm, your
refrigerator will need to run longer in order to stay cold enough (heat
doesn’t dissipate fast).

clearance around and above Refrigerator as mentioned in user’s manual and
relocate it.

There are following possible reasons for a refrigerator to cause
sweating inside refrigerator.

high humidity.

or for too long.
(3) Make sure the door is closed quickly & properly and the moisture
should go away within a few hours.
(4) Poor cold air circulation inside Refrigerator due to over loading /
covering of liner shelves with decorative plastic sheets can cause
internal sweating so just rearrange the food stored and ensure adequate
gaps for cold air circulation.
(5) If it does not or if you need more assistance, please contact an
authorized service provider.

control slides are closed - if they are not, the same will allow moisture
to escape from the foods.

too cold/max.
If you need more assistance, please contact an authorized service provider.

My refrigerator is too warm inside - what should I do? |
|
(1) Educate your children/family members not to hold the door open for
too long or too frequently. This leads to high temperature inside the
refrigerator and ultimately consuming more energy / power.
(2) You may also check the refrigerator control/thermostat and/or air
control (in case of frost free refrigerators) to make sure it has not been
changed due to oversight or set to a warmer setting like minimum.
(3) Large amount of warm or hot food could have been stored recently, so
take it out, wait until the same reaches room temperature.
(4) Refrigerator has been recently disconnected for long period of time.

sufficient clearance around and above Refrigerator as mentioned in user
manual

|
|
(1) Although it
sounds as odd, this is a normal operating sound that is produced due to
expansion of refrigerant in the freezer compartment.

mechanism.
If you need more assistance, please contact an authorized service provider.

 |
|
Why does ice cubes seem to shrink? |
|
(1) It is not just a visual fallacy - they really can get smaller over

causes evaporation. This is normal phenomena and hence not to worry.
(2) It may be noticed more when you use less ice, since the ice spends
more time in the freezer.
If you need more assistance, please contact an authorized service provider.

My refrigerator is running, but it is not cooling or cooling is not
enough.
|
|
(1)
Normally unplug the refrigerator from the power supply before attempting
any maintenance or cleaning to minimize the possibility of electric shock.
(2) Allow the refrigerator to cool down for 24 hrs after initial start-up
or every time the refrigerator is switched-off for a long time.
(3) Check the temperature control settings. It may be set too low.
Check temperature and adjust it upward.
(4) Check to see if the condenser is dirty. The condenser, the coils
behind the refrigerator (in select models), may be clogged with lint or
dust. The best way to correct this is to clean the condenser with a brush
and/or a vacuum cleaner.
(5)Ensure the door gaskets to have been in air-tight contact with cabinet
and are twisted, torn or split.
(6) Check the interior light/s is/are going off when door/s is/are
closed. To see if the light is staying on with door closed, close the door
slowly. Approximately 20 mm before door is closed, the light should go
out. If it does, the light switch is good. If it does not, the light
switch would need replacement.
(7) Make sure that both the freezer and refrigerator are loaded to
50-75% of capacity. The refrigerator may not cool properly when empty.
If you need more assistance, please contact an authorized service provider.

My frost-free refrigerator never cuts off, it runs too much/continuosly.
|
|
(1) Refrigerators
of current era, especially frost-free may run 80-90% of the time.
(2) Make sure that both the freezer and the refrigerator loaded with
75% capacity to maintain the proper temperature and run time. Air alone
does not retain coldness, so an empty preservation compartment will run
longer to try to maintain the proper temperature
If you need more assistance, please contact an authorized service provider.
